About the Position: his position is located within the Directorate of Public Works, on Fort Bragg. Fort Bragg is co-located with Fayetteville, a culturally diverse city. Fort Bragg is known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces".

Duties

Manage the Supply Section for the Operations and Maintenance Division (OMD) of the Directorate of Public Works. Develop and implement policies and procedures concerning inventory management. Act as GPC Billing/Approving Official for maximum allowed cardholders who procure over $6,500,000.00 annually. Conduct storage site surveys of material and equipment and makes recommendations to the availability and suitability of storage facilities. Supervises, plans, schedules, assigns and directs the work of section employees. Establish work priorities and deadlines as needed. Distributes and balances the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow. Assesses and evaluates supply programs to resolve problem areas and material management problems. Maintains accountability and inventory of equipment.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
  • In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Possess the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Control of FundsInventory ManagementManaging Human ResourcesSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
