This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position:
Serves as a Financial Management Analyst, applying Resource Management (RM) principles and practices in order to perform a wide variety of complex financial management functions.
Duties
Prepares both recurring and non-recurring regulatory and non-regulatory resource management and cost reports.
Provides professional management accounting advice and recommendations to Command program managers regarding problems found in current and future operational efficiency.
Prepares/consolidates special financial reports. Utilizes computer software programs to develop charts and worksheets to depict financial and contract statuses or comparative analysis.
Monitors contract performance to ensure milestones are met. Coordinates resources to identify and extract data necessary to support a performance metrics contracting progress
Provides technical advice in identifying and resolving problem areas involving regulatory requirements and statutory policies and procedures.

Specialized Experience for GS-12:
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled including:
1) Provide contract administrative support in areas such as acquisition process, requirements development, contracting practices, or resource management; AND
2) Analyze data or reports, to identify abnormal conditions and initiate corrective action.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
