Duties
Serves as a working supervisor, performing both Supervisory and Non-Supervisory duties and responsibilities.
Responsible for directing a team providing a broad range of financial data and analysis across the site, within and outside of the MSC Comptroller's office.
Serves as an expert in data mining and business analysis and teaches that knowledge to team members.
Assists in the development and implementation of queries and articulating methodology for producing large-scale data requests to include business trend analysis and discrepancy explanation of associated data.
Performs in-depth analysis of data trends, engaging appropriate business and financial specialists for input when needed.
Ensures that processes and procedures, as well as documented business rules, are adhered to, and captures instances in which end users encounter problems.
Provides timely and courteous responses to customer requests, from both within and outside of the Defense Logistics Agency.

- This position requires DoD Financial Management Level 3 certification within 2 years in accordance with DoD Instruction 1300.26, DoD Directive 5118.03 and section 1599d of Title 10, U.S.C. Once obtained, you must maintain and improve proficiency.
Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Financial Systems Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Coordinating technical and complex administrative and financial management studies, analysis, and research to develop suggested improvements.
- Utilizing accounting and fund control systems to analyze the financial posture of the organization.
- Performing studies, analysis over an integrated financial, and management system.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
