About the Position:
You will serve as Chief of a Weapon System Section in a Product Support Integration Division (PSID) with supervisory and management responsibilities for assigned personnel with responsibility for exercising integrated management control over tank-automotive vehicle system(s), complex subsystem(s), and/or commodity area(s) encompassing the major items and secondary end items.
Duties
Develop and implement product support strategies to ensure supportability.
Identify, plan, resource, and implement logistics concepts and requirements.
Utilize advanced logistics management planning theories and techniques to enhance the quality and effectiveness of assigned programs.
Lead, inspire, motivate, and guide a group of logistics management professionals in achieving program goals and milestones.
Evaluate subordinates select non-supervisory and subordinate supervisor/leader positions; develops performance plans, standards, and objectives.
Plan work to be accomplished, set priorities, and establish schedules for completion.
Participate in the systems engineering process to impact the design from inception throughout the life cycle, facilitating supportability.
Identify logistics management problems and develop innovative solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
Evaluate effectiveness of assigned programs/systems to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Manage and improve LCMC partnership culture.
Identify and optimize resources to accomplish multiple projects' goals.
Plan, resources, and implement training strategies for personnel on assigned systems.
Perform functions relative to Procurement Options and Contracting.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 24% of the time.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience in the Federal Service at the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level which includes: 1) Coordinating integrated activities of functional specialists responsible for the supply and maintenance activities; 2) Resolving supply chain discrepancies to ensure mission Readiness and Stock Availability; 3) Developing logistics documentation and briefings for leadership's awareness and/or approval; AND 4) Working and collaborate within a team.

CES provides leader development opportunities for Army civilians. The following course and time requirements apply to this position:
- The Foundation Course (FC) is required for all employees hired after 30 September 2006.
- The Supervisory Development Course (SDC) must be completed within one year of placement into the position.
- For supervisor at the GS-13 to GS-15 levels (or equivalent pay bands), the Advanced Course (AC) must be completed within two years after placement into the position. This is a DOD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for the demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-IV of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-14 through GS-15 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified job classification, streamlined hiring processes, and expanded developmental opportunities.
