Duties
You will perform or advise on work in any phases or systems of budget administration.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activtities.
You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budget.
You will plan work, set priorities and schedules work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse affect on regular and recurring work.
You will assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: budgetary policies, precedents, procedures and regulations; administrative and financial management systems; budget estimates, supervisory/management principles, practices, procedures and regulations

Education
In Leiu of experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
