About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Ft. Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Perform a variety of warehousing duties on the turn-in and issue lines of the Central Issue Section. Conduct briefing of trainees. Receive issue document, secures stock from bin or other storage areas and issues by correct size and quantity. Re-warehouse and dispose of obsolete stock as directed. Participate in inventories. Load and unload trucks and other conveyances. Utilize common handtools such as hammers, screwdrivers and pliers as well as handtrucks, handlifts, pallet jacks, dollies and electric jack lifts in performance of duties.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.

Working Conditions: Work is performed inside warehouses in bin room and on receiving and shipping docks. The areas may be cold, drafty, damp or hot. Work is performed in close quarters in/on warehouses, bin aisles, ramps or platforms. Exposed to injury from falling stock, handling materials, and mechanical equipment.
