The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a logistics management specialist within the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division across multiple branches, programs, activities, and diverse mission disciplines. To provide logistics support and establish a viable logistics support posture of acquisition and sustainment of assigned systems, programs, and equipment.
Duties
DUTY 1: Serves as the focal for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for assigned systems, programs, and equipment.
DUTY 2: Prepares, manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates Life Cycle Management and Life Cycle Verification plan implementation. Manages and monitors acquisition and sustainment projects throughout their execution.
DUTY 3: Serves as the senior technical advisor on documentation requirements. Assists users in translating project plans into contractual documents.
DUTY 4: Serves as the senior representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters.

Qualifications
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include expert Knowledge of various theories and principles of logistics management and ILS planning and execution. Knowledge of applicable regulations, instructions, policies, procedures, and other guidance related to the life cycle logistics documentation and data creation, management, and control. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, acquisition, and production. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, specifications development techniques, and an understanding of acquisition and maintenance requirements as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support.
Knowledge of theories and principles of support planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well-structured, and viable program.
Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, acquisition, and production.
Knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements.
Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system acquisition and transfer operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistics objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT.
Position is designated special-sensitive, and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
This position is Acquisition Category L, Life Cycle Logistics Level II, and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
