Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Lead Administrative Clerk (OA). Duties

This position is located in the Albuquerque Area Office and provides Lead functions over Administrative Clerks and performs a wide variety of administrative support functions for a designated organization and duty station within the Office. Distribute and balance the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization. Assure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload, and assure that each employee has work. Keep in touch with the status and progress of work and make day- to- day adjustments in accordance with established priorities. Estimate and report on expected time of completion of work and maintain records of work accomplishments. Instruct employees in specific tasks and job techniques. Give on the job training to new employees. Maintain a current knowledge and answer questions of other employees on procedures, policies, and directives. Check on work in progress or spot check work not requiring review and review completed work. Resolve simple, informal complaints of employees and refer others to supervisor. Performs the functions of handling and processing outgoing and incoming mail. Prepares a variety of reports and correspondence for final signature or approval. Prepares travel arrangements. Provides a variety of administrative support functions to the Office.

Qualifications

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume. To qualify at the GS-06, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in federal service. Specialized Experience is further defined as having 4 or more of the following: 1) Operating computers, scanners, printers, and other electronic capture equipment; 2) Maintaining electronic and hard copy files; 3) Verifying all information is properly dated and documented; 4) Distributes, balances, monitors and reports on workload in accordance with established workflow or job specialization; 5) Communicating with customers and staff on establishing timeframes and tasks; 6) Assist customers with mailing and shipping needs and provide instructions on required paperwork; 7) Identify and communicate recurring supply needs by tracking inventory and ordering as needed; 8) Planning, and coordinating the operation of a mail room or office setting; coordinate work and advise management on efforts to resolve mail/office operating problems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Applicants eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) are not required to meet time-in-grade restrictions in order to be considered. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 07/21/2023.
