This position is located in the Service Center Operations Directorate, HART (HUMANITARIAN, ADJUSTMENT, REMOVING CONDITIONS, AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS) Service Center.
As an Immigration Services Analyst, you will gather and analyze facts, determine the accuracy of data, apply technical proficiency in use of current software functionality and research ways to improve production and increase the quality of the work product.
Duties
Optimizes effectiveness of center programs through strategic program oversight, guidance, and training that ensures compliance with
agency policies and practices.
Recommends future program objectives and improvements for USCIS offices. Develops and/or evaluates
policies and procedures in assigned program areas. Makes recommendations to Senior leadership and takes actions to achieve
organizational objectives.
Develops and implements appropriate solutions to complex issues in the assigned program area. Conducts
informational and operational briefings for all levels of leadership.
Develops, refines, and manages databases/queries to improve
efficiency and accuracy of data and reporting; validates and analyzes data, provides recommended course of actions to management based
on analysis.
Develops criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of program or management operations; gathers and organizes qualitative and
quantitative data and analyzes this data to review program progress or performance.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/19/2023.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/19/2023.
GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Identifying and presenting solutions to challenges with management controls, productivity, and long-range planning by analyzing relevant data;
Developing, facilitating, and conducting training on standardized procedures and processes;
Responding to data and reporting inquiries and information requests from stakeholders throughout assigned program area;
Querying databases using the appropriate query language, manipulating data, and presenting data using visualization tools.
