This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This non-supervisory position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to the GS-13, step 10 base salary, or if the incumbent's salary current exceeds the GS-13, step 10 level the incumbent's salary will be put on a salary control point at the incumbents existing salary.

Duties

Discuss and help customer with their business requirements for a wide range of system and process improvement projects. Support complex daily operations within one of the Systems Application and Products (SAP) modules. Consulting with multiple business process owners to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current business processes, and procedures. Review the functional specs written by other business analysts and provide feedback. Performs complex master data and transactional SAP system configuration for standard SAP solutions. Work with and peer review all documents, created by junior IT Specialists and provide feedback. Perform complex functional and technical trouble shooting to resolve basic production support issues

Requirements

  • Business travel maybe required 25% of the time.
  • One year probation maybe required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technology Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND In addition to the above IT competencies you must have: one year of specialized experience which includes:1) performing master data and transactional SAP system configuration for standard SAP solutions; 2) supporting daily operations within one of the following SAP modules: Finance (FI), Sales and Distribution (SD), Material Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), Supply Chain Planning (SCP), Project System (PS), Maintenance (MT), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), business Process management (BPM), and Marketing Resource Management (MRM); and 3) assisting customers with their business requirements for a wide range of system and process improvement projects. Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
