You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS & MAINTENANCE & TECHNOLOGOY DIVISION, AVIATION READINESS & RESOURCE ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will elicit requirements through the use of interviews, requirements working with guidance groups, document analysis, customer site visits, process analysis, and work flow analysis with guidance. You will collect, understand and document initial customer requirements in support of concept development with guidance. You will manage Working Group and module budgets with guidance. You will review software mock-ups for usability, capability and requirements coverage.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

DS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DS-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing support considerations for development, production, and sustainment to meet user's operational needs; 2) Monitoring project schedule and performance; 3) Identifying and recording risks, mitigation strategies and issues associated with applications; 4) Communicating and securing funding for external projects; 5) Providing training on modules, both internally and externally. DS-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DS-02) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1) Providing support considerations for development, production, and sustainment to meet user's operational needs; 2) Assisting in monitoring project schedule and performance; 3) Assisting in identifying and recording risks, mitigation strategies and issues associated with applications; 4) Communicating and securing funding for external projects. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

DS-04:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

DS-03:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
