You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST(INFOSEC) in the Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Cyber (C5) N6 Directorate of NAVY EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT COMMAND PAC.
Duties
You will serve as Commander Navy Expeditionary Combat Command Pacific's (NECCPAC's) Primary Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and Commander Navy Expeditionary Combat Command's (NECC's) Force-wide Alternate ISSM.
You will implement and advise on IT security policies and procedures to ensure protection of information transmitted to/from Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), the World Wide Web, or other communication modes.
You will Serves as NECCPAC Primary and NECC's Force -wide Alternate Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Program Manager (CSWF-PM).
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing IT cybersecurity principles, concepts, and practices to evaluate risk and vulnerability, implement mitigating improvements, disseminate IT security tools and conduct activities leading to security assessment & authorization (A&A).
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Education
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
Successful completion of three full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
