You will serve as a Financial Management Analayst in the of PEO FOR JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will review and validate all financial reporting and financial/accounting transactions to ensure compliance with the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board guidelines. You will actively participate and represent the JPO on working groups, teams, conferences and meetings involving Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation and other related financial management matters. You will provide strategy and direction for Change Management and Knowledge Management Initiatives.

• This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Coordinating, reviewing and preparing official audit responses ; 2) Reviewing financial documents for accuracy, completeness of accounting data, and availability of funds; 3) Leading financial statement data reconciliations including efforts to identify and resolve abnormal balances and other data anomalies; and 4) Coordinating with personnel, leadership and other offices to ensure effective program financial management.
