This position is located in the Field Office Directorate, Office of Field Operations, Investor Program Office, Records Division.
As an Supervisory Records and Information Management Specialist, you will serve as subject matter expert in a variety of functions related to records and information management, management of information system, data analysis and reporting, customer relations and process analysis.
Duties
Provides expert supervisory, technical, and administrative direction to a team of Analysts that are responsible for
providing a variety of management services and guidance essential to the efficient and effective operations of USCIS.
Provides program oversight and administrative direction of the operations of the Records Program in IPO.
Serves as subject matter expert in various functions related to Records and Information Management, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, management of information system, data analysis and reporting, customer relations and process analysis.
Formulates policy, performs strategic analysis and planning, conducts program outreach, coordinates training, develops metrics and ensures compliance with Federal laws, regulations and guidance and advises management on any issues.
Uses broad data analysis to identify and resolve problems, investigate and determine innovative solutions to complex issues and prepares reports and/or presents recommendations.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/21/2023.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/21/2023.
GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Providing technical and administrative supervision to a staff of analysts engaged in programs administering records management.
Coordinating and directing the records management activities and the accomplishment of difficult and diverse functions or issues related to records management.
Ensuring compliance with the Federal Records Act and accompanying regulations.
Establishing long-range work plans and determining the actions necessary to accomplish records program objectives.
