THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY)-TITLE 5, Position Description Number PDT5094000 and is part of the KY J1, National Guard.

Duties

As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY)-TITLE 5, GS-0201-9, you will responsible for oversight administration and implementation of policies pertaining to state medical affairs and programs such as Line of Duty (LOD) Investigation Program, Incapacitation Pay Program, Active Duty Medical Extension (ADME) Program, MOS Medical Review Board (MMRB) Program, Medical Disqualification Program, Follow up Health Care Program, Medical Claims Processing Program, Medical Travel and Orders Program, Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), Physical Evaluation Board (PEB), Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP), demobilization coordination with Post Deployment Health Re-Assessment (PDHRA). Serve as the advisor on issues of health care, sources of healthcare, and medical aspects of Soldier readiness. Collect, analyze, and provide reports regarding health services programs. Manage funds associated with the programs and provide accounting for expenditures. Provide updates of fund execution, projections, and unfunded requests. Respond to inquiries and correspondence within respective areas. Oversee and advise the release of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA and Privacy Act standards. Coordinate, monitor, and ensure the proper conduct of medical boards. Provide tracking and assistance for issues identified through all medical aspects of Soldier readiness. Review, evaluate, and interpret regulatory guidance, policies, and procedures to applicable programs. Plan work to be accomplished, set priorities, and prepare schedules, as needed. Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service (GS-07) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the experience and knowledge with personnel programs. Experience executing actions in personnel programs and Human Resources Information Systems such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System. Knowledge of organizational structures; manpower standards; manpower resources; and/or manpower data systems. Competent in merit principles, personnel plans, programs, and policies to guide or advise others on their implementation activities. Experience applying program policies, directives, publications, and training manuals. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment.
