The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Headquarters Air Force District of Washington Air Force Security Specialist, and implement oversight, technical expertise and direct support for the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and other locations with multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information.

Duties
- Implement multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information programs to ensure MAJCOM and installation level compliance with related AF, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community guidance.
- Implements multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information actions for HQ AFDW, designated HAF customers and other designated customers.
- Implements MAJCOM and installation level multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information programs for the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and other designated locations.

- Travel and relocation expenses WILL BE PAID in accordance with the JTR AND AFMAN 36-606

Qualifications
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a range of concepts, principles and practices in the implementation of multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information, including knowledge of current information systems, data bases, operating systems, and applications, and skill in applying this knowledge to work assignments. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of current and emerging multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information, and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) programs.
2. Knowledge of multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information field that includes personnel, physical, Industrial, education & training, and information security; knowledge of AF, DOD and IC multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information standards.
3. Thorough knowledge to implement AF, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community guidance, directives, policies, and regulations pertaining to multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information requirements associated with personnel, physical, education & training, and information security.
4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
5. Ability to understand and interpret for implementation multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information programs and security vulnerabilities; ability to perform assessments based on data for all forms of multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information programs.
6. Ability to perform technical system analysis and apply acquired knowledge to multi-disciplinary sensitive compartmented information methods required to support customers and organizations.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. A favorable suitability determination is required before appointment.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments; and also required to travel within the area of work to include The Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and other locations within the area of the national capital region.
Key: The duties of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,")
Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security
Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
