You will serve as a Senior Technician in the Weapons & Energetics Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will Interact with customers from a variety of disciplines including technical engineers and non-technical individuals in order to ensure product quality, cost and schedule commitments.
You will assess customer requirements and plan, schedule, and manage NAVAIR products.
You will plan and execute entire scope of manufacturing processes supporting multiple projects.
You will identify and purchase tools and material in support of building hardware in a machine shop.
You will plan and estimate actions on behalf of customer demand and direct shop activity to realize product to meet that demand.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (DT-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Engineering Technician. Specialized experiences must include some or all of the following: (1) Demonstrating knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, welding, etc.); (2) Demonstrating experience with manufacturing planning/estimating, and materials/tooling; (3) Exhibiting basic project management principles (monitor schedule, cost & quality); and (4) Demonstrating experience interpreting technical data packages.
