You will serve as a Branch Head in the RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT GROUP, WEAPONS & ENERGETICS DEPT, APPLIED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY DIV, SYSTEM ASSEMBLY BRANCH
of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will be responsible for insuring recruitment, hiring and continued development of branch employees.
You will be responsible for addressing all equipment and infrastructure issues including the planning for future capacity and capabilities necessary to meet complex customer requirements.
You will provide technical support for the manufacture of customer projects and will be responsible for a variety of projects including unique and one-of-a-kind prototype models while ensuring compliancy and delivery expectations.
You will work directly with customers from a variety of backgrounds including engineers, technicians and non-technical individuals in order to ensure product quality, cost and schedule.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/12) or pay band (NM-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Practical experience with quality systems operations; 2) Experience pertaining to at least two of the following: machine tool programming/operation, welding, sheet metal work, heat treat, painting/coating, and/or assembly; 3) Leading and directing others in support of a variety of manufacturing projects, including unique and one-of-a-kind prototype models.
