You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Research and Development Group, Weapons & Energetics Dept, Propulsion & Energetics Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will be responsible for directing work at an equivalent or lower pay grade as required. You will be responsible for maintaining the scheduling and training of all employees in the same or lower pay bands. You will be responsible for managing cost, schedule and performance for technical projects. You will be involved in solving unique problems.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DT-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Solving unique problems and understanding multiple complicating factors associated with advanced energetics manufacturing techniques such as additive manufacturing and/or resonant acoustic mixing; 2) Troubleshooting and resolving formulation or process errors discovered while performing mixes; 3) Training and directing all employees in a safe operation of mixing techniques; 4) Managing cost, schedule and performance for technical projects.
