You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEERING/ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the SPECTURM WARFARE DEPARTMENT, AVIONICS/WEAPONS INTEGRATION ENGINEERING DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will report directly to F/A-18 and EA-18G IPT’s Weapons and Sensor Integration team lead (WSI TL), providing day to day operation support as assigned by the WSI TL.
You will prepare laboratory, ground, and flight test results within Open Systems Engineering Environment (OSEE) to support integration efforts.
You will be responsible for test asset positioning, conducting of laboratory, ground, and flight testing to verify that system integration tests meet performance requirements for all Operation Flight Programs (OFP’s) as applicable.
You will interface with all levels of the F/A-18 Integrated Product Team (IPT) on matters related to IRST system integration, project planning, scheduling, document preparation, engineering document assessment and test planning.
You will support WSI TL data calls for the IPT and program sponsors as required and analyze 1553 Mux Bus data to find anomalies, verify error codes, and validate configurations used for testing.
You will participate in SCS Milestones, development team meetings and other technical meetings as required.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DT-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include duties related to the following: (1) Assisting in performing lab, ground, and flight-testing events; (2) Conducting hardware integration verification; (3) Conducting verification of system configuration sets; and (4) Performing work related to project planning.
