You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY SYNDICATE of TACTICAL TRAINING GROUP PACIFIC.
Duties
You will serve as a Security Specialist for Tactical Training Group, Pacific (TACTRAGRUPAC), as the primary assistant to the command Security manager/Officer.
You will be responsible for administering the command lock and key control program, planning and conducting comprehensive security surveys and inspections.
You will provide authoritative information and assistance to management officials on security policies and practices; and recommend procedures to effect safe security for TACTRAGRUPAC, staff, visitors, classified assets and government equipment.
You will implement policies and procedures in accordance with the DoD, DON, and TACTRAGRUPAC directives, all of which are designed to protect the command's assets, including facilities, classified material and personnel.
You will plan and conduct surveys and inspections of TACTRAGRUPAC classified assets, spaces and storage areas, to ensure proper security and safeguarding of sensitive documents and spoke checks for proper security procedures for the command.
You will apply security measures to reduce vulnerability and to create security awareness for TACTRAGRUPAC assets.
You will coordinate security measures and systems that may include, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) alarms, automated Access Control Systems and command access control.
You will assist/coordinate active and/or passive security measures such as lights, barriers to restricted areas, electronic entry control systems, access control devices, key control, security vaults and safes, security guards, surveillance systems.
You will respond to issues regarding command access control system, resolving issues when able or coordinate appropriate technical response.
You will conduct evaluations of TACTRAGRUPC to ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures, ensuring sensitive information, equipment or other materials are not compromised.
You will operate a computer terminal in order to enter, retrieve and manipulate data related to area of responsibility; create new programs as required for storage of data, maintain computerized security system and databases.
Requirements

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position requires the ability to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight.
- This position requires the ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reducing vulnerabilities and protecting assets (e.g., facilities, barriers, entry controls, lock and key, vaults/safes) for a security program by analyzing and reviewing policies/procedures to provide recommendations for correcting deficiencies and safeguarding against compromise, destruction, misuse, theft, or hostile activities.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree;
OR

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
