About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD ACofS, RESOURCE MGMT FINANCE & ACCOUNTING DIVISION ICF/SMF TEAM FORT BELVOIR, VA.

Duties

Advises the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACofS), Resource Management (RM) and members of the INSCOM staff on matters pertaining to ICF support to intelligence operations. Provides technical Defense Travel System (DTS) guidance and assistance to headquarters and major subordinate commands in absence of the MACOM DTS Program Manager. Conducts recurring Command Inspections of MSC as part of the Resource Management Inspection Program (RMIP). Prepares memoranda of instructions, information papers, staff memoranda and related correspondence pertaining to ICF for higher level review or approval.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 5% or less of the time.
