About the Position: This position is located XVIII ABN Corp Senior CDR AUG G-8, Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty NC is centrally located hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. Fort Liberty is known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." It is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations and is co-located at Fayetteville, NC.
Duties
Provide historical data to and for the supported commands.
Utilizes General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and other financial systems to monitor financial transactions.
Conduct financial management studies.
Manage funding distribution and performs funding and spending analysis.
Attends conferences and meetings on behalf of the supervisor or G8.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position may be require incumbent to work overtime occasionally and during fiscal year-end closeout in August and September.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position.
- This position may require a one-year probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes researching, analyzing and resolving financial system problems, designing internal controls to track automated records and monitoring data integrity and reliability of reports. Administering and utilization of various financial systems such as Defense Travel Systems. Prepare financials reports and provide guidance to help with financial decisions about the organization. Assist personnel using the organization financial programs and with policies and procedures for financial managers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Financial Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
