Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS), your qualifications must include:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in- grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Applying knowledge of advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices that are required to provide advisory services regarding project-based new AIS requests and/or recommending revisions to existing or planned system applications.
Exhibiting the mastery of systems analysis principles and techniques, to include the understanding of and ability to advise in the develop of procedural instructions for the implementation and operation of new/revised systems, testing new and revised systems and technologies, applications and processes, and to resolve critical problems in existing systems or define advanced system requirements for new projects.
Ensuring that applications, interfaces, extensions, forms, and reports comply with regulatory requirements governing IT security and current business processes and are consistent with the current and planned infrastructure and data environments.
