This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-JH5.
Duties
Recommend approval or disapproval of requests for key personnel requirements and the
allocation of positions among directorate divisions. Coordinate effective and economical organizational structures, manpower allocations, and facilities management.
Establish internal systems, programs, and controls as necessary to monitor task accomplishment in order to promote an efficient, effective, and progressive organization. Interpret and implement local and higher echelon policies and regulations.
Coordinate the efforts of J5 divisions in policy development; preparation of plans and guidance; and evaluation of program performance in support of strategic objectives and achievement of desired regional effects.
Confer with the director, division chiefs, and key directorate and staff regarding problem areas and projected major changes in the assigned mission. Recommend policy, organization, and operational procedures regarding management of the directorate.
Act as directorate senior civilian and Activity Career Plan Manager. Supervise mentorship and career development for civilians.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.
- This is a drug testing position.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: providing organizational administrative and policy direction in terms of broadly defined objectives; establishing internal controls to ensure quality and completion of work performed by staff; and engaging in manpower and facilities management.
