About the Position: Serves as a Branch Chief within the Programs and Project Management Division (PPMD).
Duties
Responsible for fully participating with the Deputy Project Manager, or his designee, in the executive direction of assigned Civil Works programs/projects, in accordance with established schedules.
Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the project management function and for the technical and administrative supervision of up to 20 positions.
Coordinates assigned program/project activities with personnel of other organizational elements; local interest groups; state and Federal agencies.
Participates in conferences/briefings with representatives of U.S. Congress/Senate, State governments, higher headquarters, USACE, and other local governments, contractors, the media, and others.
Monitors and evaluates assigned programs/projects progress.
Requirements

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above for your chosen occupational series, you must also meet the specialized experience requirement listed below to qualify for this position:
Specialized Experience required for qualification at the GS-14 level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Administration and oversight of Programs and Project Management Business Process projects; AND leading and managing a large technical organization, including implementation of policies and regulations; AND formulation and execution of the operating budget, special reports and studies; AND representing the command at conference/briefings with representatives of U.S. Congress/Senate, State governments, higher headquarters, USACE, and other local governments, contractors, the media, and others, meetings and internal/external briefings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level position in the federal service GS-13.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
