About the Position: Serves as an Assistant Inspector General in the Pre-Screening/Oversight Branch of the Department of the Army Inspector General Agency, Records Screening and Oversight (RSO) Division.

Duties

Plan, organize, conduct research, and execute senior and non-senior official records screens. Review and provide comments for updating regulatory documents. Conduct research to ensure all documentation is present and accurate on found adverse actions. Write, review and make minor edits to executive synopses. Prepare and staff formal responses to records screen requests for approval by The Inspector General. Ensure that proper authorities have approved IG findings on all whistleblower and mental health cases.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Successful completion of The Inspector General School is required.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 25% for this position
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 10 pounds is required.
