About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Department of the Army program manager for the Law Enforcement Program and as a Law enforcement Policy Analyst assigned to the Law Enforcement Branch of the Operations Division of the Office of the Provost Marshal General.
Duties
Provides critical feedback and recommendations regarding policy positions.
Provide continuity to the directorate and sustains the extensive knowledge of techniques and methods for all contingency and operational missions.
Evaluate and review directives and other Department of Defense, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, staff actions and federal laws, policies and amendments to statutes to ensure integration and compliance.
Interpret military laws for compliance with Law Enforcement Program.
Integrate and capture Army law enforcement policy guidance and standards at the operational and tactical level.
Update current policy to address the applicability of new or revised Joint and Army capstone, keystone publications, and current Department of Defense policies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Drug testing required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Position requires incumbent to file a statement of employment and financial interest as required by Joint Ethics Regulation.
- Temporary duty travel while not deployed up to 15% of the time.
- Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes knowledge of the Department of the Army Law Enforcement program and its elements; ability to review, develop and revise current Department of the Army Law Enforcement policies and procedures; identify future impact to Law Enforcement programs, military programs and organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
