You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Support Equipment (SE) Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE. Your primary function will be to serve as the Weapon System Manager (WSM) for F/A-18 Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) team under the PEO(T) Division of the SE Department.
Duties
You will evaluate integrated logistical support (ILS) plans to ensure capability and integration of logistics elements throughout the system life-cycle.
You will monitor integrated logistical support (ILS) to meet weapon systems or equipment needs.
You will brief management of logistical problems associated with weapon system development efforts.
You will support plans and sustainment execution by recognizing conflicts and factors.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
Serving as the Domestic Platform Weapon System Manager (WSM) preparing, planning, executing and tracking procurement actions through the use of an Acquisition Strategy Plan (ASP)
Troubleshooting urgent ILS program or SE Acquisition execution problems and initiating actions to resolve them.
Planning, managing and coordinating total life cycle logistics support, for major weapon system or subsystems, from cradle to grave.
Maintaining contact with system users in the field to identify problems, deficiencies, user capabilities and user needs.
Developing Acquisition Logistics Support (ALS) plans for the full supportability of new or enhanced major systems/equipment.
Developing specific portions of management and technical controls required to monitor the implementation of ILS policies and procedures.
Preparing and presenting budget proposals, adjustments and realignments addressing system supportability to the ILS management team.
