About the Position: The purpose of this position is to provide specialized knowledge and expertise of military personnel practices and programs in support of the organization's personnel management and mission requirements.

Duties

Assist in the development of overall policies, plans, and requirements. Conduct research and analysis in the active Army’s manpower and officer personnel management systems to assist in determining projected requirements. Provide guidance, interpretations, training and/or briefings on current proposed policies, including standard operating procedures for assigned military personnel. Initiate actions resulting from higher headquarters and/or field inquiries regarding previous actions, past case decisions or other non-routine circumstances. Compose correspondence as necessary to other Service Headquarters, organizations, other military agencies, and Department of Defense to areas addressing inquiries. Reviews and analyzes systems and procedures to obtain quantitative and qualitative information.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
