About the Position: Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, managing and reviewing all actions concerned with providing transportation and logistical support for TRADOC schools and subordinate activities, headquarter (HQ) TRADOC.
Duties
Uses logistics concepts to develop methods and techniques required for program execution.
Responsible for advising Senior Leaders and Army commands (ACOM) staff on transportation issues.
Coordinates with transportation specialists of other agencies and other logistics managers to resolve interface problems impacting on transportation base operations at all levels of command.
Responsible for organizing, directing and controlling functional areas and associated resources related to mission accomplishment.
Resolves highly complex and controversial technical and administrative problems and develops policy for guidance in future situations.
Monitors accomplishment of the various segments in terms of results shown in logistics briefings, reports, and effectiveness.
Represents TRADOC at conferences, meetings, workshops, and planning groups at all levels of command as an active participant.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) for business for up to 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience coordinating logistical support in exercise scenarios to sustain the development of emergency operations; AND monitoring logistical plans to facilitate the movement of transportation such as freight, commercial travel and non-tactical vehicles. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
