You will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist of NAVSUP FLC NORVA GF.

Duties

You will perform oversight and safety assurance assessments of subordinate commands to ensure effective safety and occupational health programs are in place. You will evaluate the effectiveness of base operating support safety services provided to the command. You will schedule and perform periodic scheduled/unscheduled inspections of facilities, work sites, and operations to evaluate compliance with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Navy regulations. identifies hazardous work processes, materials, and unsafe environmental conditions You will consult with base or region safety and environmental personnel on inspections of operations/facilities.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
