This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies for NH-III Procuring Contracting Officer (limited warrant) positions. Duties

You will analyze and evaluate procurement aspects of mission-oriented programs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate the development of complex acquisition and source selection plans for specialized equipment and services. You will ensure necessary funding, waivers, and approvals are obtained for purchase requests and handle funding-related issues. You will perform market research to identify commercial solutions that meet customer needs and determine suitable sources to solicit. You will administer complex, long-term contracts for specialized systems, and services impacting major agency programs. You will utilize mastery knowledge of procurement statutes and regulations and/or contracting methods, policies, procedures, and contract types to plan and carry out long-term pre award and/or post-award procurement actions.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Contracting, Professional acquisition certification within 36 months in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66. Failure to meet these requirements could result in disciplinary action or removal from employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, coordinating, negotiating and assuring completion of approvals for long term pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions are completed within a timely manner. A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
