You will serve as a TRAVEL ASSISTANT in the TRAVEL DEPARTMENT NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will demonstrate skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.
You will convey written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.
You will correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and express thoughts persuasively and use effective modes to reinforce message retention.
You will interpret acquisition regulations to determine impact on operations.
You will understand and interpret technical material, rules, regulations, and instructions; applies to specific situations.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
our resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of administrative rules, procedures and operations to perform administrative support functions, including customer service assistance, maintaining appointment calendar, travel coordination, file maintenance and related clerical work; 2) Using word processing and spreadsheet programs to prepare, format and proofread correspondence, forms, briefing, messages and/or reports; 3) Maintaining a document filing system procedure to archive documents; and 4) Coordinating with others in resolving questions and providing data to support the program.
