You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant in the Business and Administrative Support Office of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will prepare correspondence according to Navy requirements to check for proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation and to review documents for conformance.
You will answer phones and directs calls to appropriate personnel.
You will assist in coordinating official travel.
You will manage time and attendance using standard time and attendance systems.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing and prioritizing administrative functions to meet organizational deadlines such as timekeeping/payroll duties; 2) Assisting employees with Travel and travel support functions; 3) Maintaining and creating a calendar of events for department operations; and 4) Utilizing office automation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) to provide administrative support duties.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-07 level:
One full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
