Duties
You will function as the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) On Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC) to provide professional technician services involved with the execution of AIT work assignments.
You will research, development, design, testing, documentation, and configuration control, and range over the entire life of the systems.
You will maintain or improve fleet readiness and are typically long-term and/or complex.
You will serve as a project leader for all technical projects associated with the Alteration Installation Team (AIT), design, in-service engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance of assigned equipment.
You will provide design consultation and recommendations to other organizations and agencies.
You will develop a plan for project accomplishment and break project into smaller tasks which may be personally performed or assigned to other technicians or engineers to result in timely accomplishment of the overall assignment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to perform occasional onboard ship work.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (NT-03, GS-09/10 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: providing technical support services assisting in researching, testing, and documenting requirements and plans to identity and maintain the readiness of all existing and new ships.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (NT-04, GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: providing technical support services researching, testing, designing, installing, and documenting requirements and plans aboard ships to identity, resolve, and maintain the readiness of all existing and new ships.

Education
Successful completion of at least two full years of graduate education or a master's degree meets the requirements for GS-9. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended.
