You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the NETWORK & DIGITAL SYSTEM SUSTAINMENT DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA
Duties
You will serve as a lead in providing support for the development, test and evaluation, and ship installation of Camera and Video Distribution Systems for Foreign Military Ships (FMS).
You will provide expert technical services involved with the execution of work assignments pertaining to significant task within complex project oriented in-service engineering services in U.S and allied ships and/ or shore facilities.
You will provide performance reviews, evaluation of new concepts, and design approaches, as well as assessment of functional compatibility with complex and highly interactive elements of the FMS Video Distribution System.
You will assist in the scheduling and execution of technical alterations and related task.
You will develop and review documentation and specifications for entire systems or any portion thereof.
You will conduct engineering reviews to determine problematic hardware or software.
You will apply knowledge of Hardware design, functionality, operation, principles, processes, and programs for real-time operations, diagnostic, and peripheral maintenance.
You will demonstrate the technical capability to use a variety of hardware and software in the course of evaluation, testing and troubleshooting for Aegis and FMS systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating or managing projects to lead technical teams in the design, development and installation of Shipboard Camera and Video Systems and their related digital computer programs.
