You will serve as a Supervisory Technician in the Strike Force Interoperability Branch, Fleet Readiness Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.
Duties
You will serve as the first level supervisor for branch personnel in the Strike Force Interoperability (FR06) branch and conduct the financial, technical and administrative management of engineers, technicians, and product support personnel.
You will oversee and direct In-Service Engineering and fleet support functions for Strike Force Interoperability (SFI) tasking.
You will provide management for Baseline Analysis, Engineering Assessments, and Capabilities and Limitations.
You will oversee the assessment, analysis, data evaluation, and prepare both written and oral reports to a variety of activities both internal and external to NSWC Port Hueneme Division.
You will monitor and evaluate performance, establish priorities, assign work, adjust workloads, and advise and counsel subordinate personnel.
You will investigate in the testing and application of state-of-the-art components used in US Navy Combat and Weapon Systems programs.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading engineering teams in the assessment of shipboard combat systems tests and data to prepare reports, identify issues, and recommend technical solutions for a warfare program.
