About the Position: Serves as an Air Traffic Control (ATC) Administrative Support Assistant in the Airfield Division, Fort Liberty, NC managing administrative functions and providing technical support within the Branch.

Duties

Coordinate administrative support actions within the Branch. Spot checks files to reduce errors. Prepare budget estimates for managers. Revise estimates to conform with established guidelines. Send and receive messages electronically. Maintain personnel training files. Prepare memorandum and numerous reports. Maintain suspense file for all personnel training records. Maintain and update calendar.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation including a credit check to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the position.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
