Duties
You will track lessons learned and process improvements in the department.
You will assign work priorities, schedules, and general project parameters such as scheduling, prioritization, scope, and budget.
Oversees and participates in the planning, coordination, and implementation of Facilities Division emergency responses after hours and during times of destructive weather (i.e., tropical storms, earthquakes, etc.)
You will address allegations of noncompliance as required by local directives.
You will exercise final authority on a full range of personnel actions in accordance with established personnel policy directives.
You will provide oversight of all Facilities Division vacancies recruitment and hiring practices and ensure all unfilled positions are identified and filled expeditiously
You will provide oversight in the development and execution of facilities short-, medium-, and long range
repair/maintenance and construction plans to meet installation requirements and support the base master plan.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You must be willing to accept a supervisory position.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supervising facilities master
planning, environmental administration and compliance, human resources and administrative support. Examples of qualifying experience: Developing solutions for technical and managerial facilities logistics issues; conducting program review and analysis; and supervision and management of personnel, human resources, and Equal Employment Opportunity actions.

Education
Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.
OR
Specialized Experience: Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
- Managing a maintenance program for office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, recreation facilities, military, or other special-purpose installations, including planning maintenance activities, and developing preventive maintenance programs.
- Conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations performed by a variety of private contractors, including reviewing project plans and specifications for workability, informing contractors of construction and reporting requirements, and supervising operations for conformance with project plans.
- Performing maintenance or construction work, including estimating material and labor costs for a variety of construction or maintenance projects (such as construction or maintenance of brick, frame, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and other type structures ranging from one- or two-story buildings to larger structures), directing actual work operations, and maintaining appropriate contacts with the organization funding the project.
