You will serve as the Branch Chief/Supervisor for the NASA OCFO's KSC Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Resource's Central Budget Office (GGCB). The Chief oversees critical support to various Agency, Enterprise, and mission data requirements, in addition to the provisioning of unique Center services that are essential to the comprehensive formulation, execution, analyses, and reporting of the full complement of KSC's fiscal budgets, and related activities.
Duties
Serves as a key member of the leadership team with the ability to effectively communicate the organization's objectives and priorities, while advocating needs to stakeholders.
Defines jobs/technical work requirements/milestones; assigns work; presents and defends work to senior management and other offices; ensures a safe and healthy work environment; defines strategic objectives for the organization.
Provides authoritative and comprehensive advice and assistance to ensure the integration and validation of budget for programs and institutionally managed requirements.
Responsible for new initiatives that require end-to-end assessment of complex issues affecting multiple organizations and programs and require assimilation of administrative, technical, and fiscal data.
Participates in strategic planning for program development. Develops and/or assists with program and/or management assessments ensuring programmatic and/or management goals are well documented.
Advises and provides recommendations through team participation in new business and/or program and project initial staffing planning exercises.
Prepares and contributes to reports and presentations on program planning, evaluation, and performance.
Leads and serves on teams as the subject matter specialist/representative or expert across the center and the OCFO Enterprise.
Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Leading assessments of complex projects, integrating the technical, cost, schedule and risk parameters and presenting assessment findings to stakeholders;
Identifying resources for projects; analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of programs/projects and providing recommendations for improvements; and
Participating in budget and financial management functions to include providing input to all phases of Program Planning Budget Execution (PPBE) process.
