You will serve as a LEAD SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT, ACCESS CONTROL DIVISION of SWFLANT KINGS BAY. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.

Duties

You will support the Access Control Supervisor in implementing the SWFLANT Access Control Program. You will be responsible for the proper execution of the SWFLANT Entry Authorization List (EAL) Program. You will create appropriate SOPs, training presentations, desk guides, and other required documentation for EAL and LA badge functions to ensure proper management of the EAL program. You will ensure personnel with LA escort privileges maintain their annual training requirements. You will conduct various internal audits and self-assessment of the EAL program. You will process SUBASE badge applications for restricted areas. You will coordinate with the contractor to ensure the system for swipe access is up to date and the processes and procedures are properly documented, and appropriate personnel are trained. You will function as Trusted Agent in managing the SWFLANT CAC program

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Security Professional Education Development (SP D), Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) certification.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing knowledge of personnel security regulations to assess individuals' suitability and security for entry, retention in sensitive and non-sensitive positions, including production and maintenance.
