You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (COMMAND & STAFF PROGRAM) in the Administrative Department, of NAVSUBASE KINGSBAY.
Duties
You will ensure all personnel who handle classified information or are assigned sensitive duties are appropriately cleared.
You will decide the security clearance level necessary for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites.
You will develop written command information and all personnel security instructions, security operating procedures, and supplemental guidelines.
You will formulate and coordinate the command's Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program.

- You will be to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: : 1) Recording personnel security information in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) or current applicable official systems of record; 2) Applying Federal Laws, Department of Defense (DoD) and agency regulations to determine types of investigations; 3) Processing applications through Electronic Questionnaires for Investigative Processing (e-QIP); 4) Providing guidance on policies or procedures related to personnel security, adjudication or suitability; and 5) Implementing existing security directives and making recommendations to resolve unique and complex security problems.

Education
SUBSITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of education plus percentage of experience must equal 100%.
