Duties
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as a U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) functional expert for bulk fuel and logistics operational planning, distribution, transportation, and supply chain management processes.
Serves as the DOD's Petroleum War Reserve Requirement generation and validation
subject matter expert (SME).
Serves as a bulk fuel planning SME on studies and wargames assessing liquid energy to the OSD, Joint Staff, CCMDs and Military Services.
Serves as a senior representative and spokesperson in communicating program and project matters; establishes and develops effective working relationships with counterparts at GCCs, Military Services, OSD, government agencies, commercial, and non-government organizations.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Applying advanced analytics principles and techniques to analyze the results of the evaluation and effects of changes in programs, plans, and funding to inform contingency plan
execution.
Generating analysis of historical military exercises and wargames.
Writing position papers on high visibility logistics plans, distribution, transportation, and supply chain management issues.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
