Duties
As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Logistics Sustainment Division, Automatic Identification Technology (AIT)/In Transit Visibility (ITV) Implementation Branch ensuring branch personnel comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules.
Identify employee developmental needs and provides or arranges for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance.
Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with TCC's, Unified Commands, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Military Services, Defense Logistics Agency, General Services Administration, other DOD and Federal level agencies, and commercial transportation organizations.
Provide deployment, distribution and logistics expertise for joint capabilities development policy, issues, and processes.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Researching, interpreting, analyzing and applying supply chain best practices while within regulations, business process management, and business rules.
Advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management; explaining performance expectations to employees and providing regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses.
Applying knowledge of management concepts, principles, and practices to blend technical disciplines into a cohesive project plan.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
