The primary purpose of this position is to serve as first-level supervisor to the Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) acquisition managers, and to serve as senior product support requirements manager overseeing and managing Air Mobility Command (AMC) LCL requirements supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy.

Duties
Plans, organizes, and oversees the product support planning and requirements management activities of acquisition and sustainment for the Air Mobility Command (AMC's) Director of Strategy, Plans, Requirements, and Programs and supports all Program Executive Officer staffs (Digital, Big Safari, Agile Combat Support, Mobility Aircraft and Training, and Presidential).
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules.
Oversees the activities of a Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) Integrated Product Team (IPT) for product support execution. Plans, organizes, and advocates for the sustainment and support activities required to field and maintain the readiness and operational capability of assigned systems, subsystems, and components, including all functions related to system readiness, in support of AMC's life cycle management responsibilities.
Represents Head Quarters (HQ) AMC to HQ United States Air Force (USAF), United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and other Air Force (AF) Major Commands (MAJCOMs). Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with HQ US Air Force, USTRANSCOM, National Guard Bureau, Air Force Reserves, other MAJCOMs, System Program Offices, various HQ AMC divisions, and Mobility Air Forces organizations and international partner nations.
Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned programs.

- "This is a Supervisory Position." A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.
- This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
- Employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. The position requires Level II Certification in the function of Life Cycle Logistics (LCL).
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security clearance.
- Employee may be required to work overtime.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions for Logistics Management Series, 0346.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of the life cycle logistics/product support management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of continuous process improvement principles to identify problems and generate innovative solutions.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the life cycle logistics/product support management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support.
Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of continuous process improvement principles to identify problems and generate innovative solutions.
Skill in stratifying resources against approved programs; planning, presenting, and executing budgets; analyzing budget impacts on programs; forecasting long-term funding requirements; reviewing, evaluating, and presenting data; and supporting analysis of logistics management programs and activities' specialized documentation, etc.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the staff of an organization including special study teams and task forces composed of members from different organizations and commands.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
