This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland .

Duties

Assists in the day-to-day production operations, ensuring high-quality support for all production activities. Sets up lights, power cables, dollies, stabilizers, dolly tracks, and camera sliders. Manages the Visual Information system rental system, ensuring efficient and accurate management of all equipment. Oversees equipment check-in/out, maintaining accurate property records using DPAS, providing customer service, assisting with equipment selection, testing, and managing delivery and return of items. Manages and administers Digital Assets Management (DAM) systems, ensuring effective and secure handling of all digital assets ensuring compliance will all federal law including those pertaining to records retention. Maintains and repairs audio and video equipment, ensuring all equipment is functional and up to date.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
  • This position requires an alternative or shift work schedule.

Qualifications

Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Individual Occupational Requirement: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position. Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis. OR Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: filming, lighting, and editing high-impact visual communications that support an agency's mission and strategic goals. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Applicants must describe how their experience meets the competencies within the body of the resume. No separate statements addressing competencies are required. Competencies: Attention to Detail, Communications and Media, and Multimedia Technologies Qualification and time-in-grade requirements must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level.
