Duties
Assists in the day-to-day production operations, ensuring high-quality support for all production activities.
Sets up lights, power cables, dollies, stabilizers, dolly tracks, and camera sliders.
Manages the Visual Information system rental system, ensuring efficient and accurate management of all equipment.
Oversees equipment check-in/out, maintaining accurate property records using DPAS, providing customer service, assisting with equipment selection, testing, and managing delivery and return of items.
Manages and administers Digital Assets Management (DAM) systems, ensuring effective and secure handling of all digital assets ensuring compliance will all federal law including those pertaining to records retention.
Maintains and repairs audio and video equipment, ensuring all equipment is functional and up to date.

Qualifications
Individual Occupational Requirement:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position.
Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis.
OR:
Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled.
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-11within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: filming, lighting, and editing high-impact visual communications that support an agency's mission and strategic goals.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
