This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA JOINT STAFF SUPPORT CENTER.
Duties
The incumbent is the central point of coordination within JSSC for all new system requirements prior to their approval by the Director. Oversees the operations of JSSC.
Performs the full range of second-level supervisory duties over the missions, functions, and assigned personnel of the stated areas of authority.
As a recognized authority, provides the highest level of representation for JSSC in high level meeting, briefings, conferences, speeches, presentations, and working groups, with senior representatives of DISA and other Federal Agencies.
Advises the Director and/or executes top operational and administrative management functions such as establishing organizational goals and objectives.
Creates specific tasks, objectives, budgets and schedules that must be accomplished to achieve the objectives of OSD, Joint Staff, DISA Director, Principal Director for Operations, and the JSSC Director.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
AND
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in leading, developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising and presenting IT Cyberspace operations planning efforts to senior leadership; AND Directing projects/programs with technical authority over a range of information technology disciplines, systems, and applications.
