About the Position: Manages several military personnel action programs for an installation: Awards, Promotions, Schools, Assignments, Retirements and Separations, Recruitment and Retention, and Special Actions. This position is located with the Reserve Personnel Management Directorate within the Human Resources Command (HRC).

Duties

Responsibility over an organization that provides technical advice and guidance regarding Military readiness, retention, awards, records management, and personnel actions within the RPMD. Provides interpretation, development, implementation and administration of a variety of Military HR Program areas. Duties require a comprehensive knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations and policies governing the programs, and a thorough knowledge of the basic concepts, principles, and theories of personnel management. Develops, plans and makes changes in the organization of work to achieve efficient and economical operations within established policies and procedures. Supervises 6 or more Human Resource Assistants to plan, guide, and direct overall actions in order to meet goals, objectives and priorities IAW established policies, rules, laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

LL.M., if related
